Booodl Raises $2.85m to Bring Smart Local Shopping to all Aussies

You may have seen some of the recent media coverage about our $2.85m strategic investment round led by Scentre Group, who own and operate Westfield in ANZ (read the full press release here).

We’re so pumped and couldn’t ask for a better way to end the year. Our mission is to make life simpler by helping shoppers find and be reminded about nearby stores selling products they want to buy (and in turn helping physical retail stores get discovered). Not only does this funding give us the runway we need to significantly grow our user base and retail network, but it provides public validation of our product from one of the biggest players in the retail game.

We’ve had some great coverage over the last couple of weeks, including a full page spread in SMH on the weekend (see it below or read the online version here).

You can also get the full rundown via CMO, StartupSmart, ITWireAdnewsStartup Daily or in last week’s Inside Booodl video:

What next?

Right now we’ve got over 15,000 retail stores in our network (and more than 1.2 million products), but that’s just the beginning. We’re using this money to get full coverage across Australia (and beyond) so that whether you live in a busy city or quiet town, you’ll be able to find, be reminded and buy products you want from nearby retailers.

We’d love your help spreading the word. If you know any stores that could use a little help getting discovered, send them our way. Right now it’s free for retailers to sign up and get going via our retail site.

Thanks again for your support this year, it’s been a cracker. Bring on 2016! Happy holidays to all and see you in the new year.
