Discussions around the future of retail revolve around omni-channel shopping, however the concept of omni-channel is not without its problems. Even the very term is contentious; online and offline shouldn’t be thought of as two separate channels – they go hand in hand. Shoppers move seamlessly between the two when purchasing items – failure to recognise this can lead to an outdated shopping experience.
